  2.            Grandad 2: In Search of the Sandwiches

  5. We couldn't review Grandad and the  Quest for the Holey Vest
  6. without reviewing its sequel, now  could  we? No. Well, here
  7. is Grandad's sequel; Grandad 2: In Search of the Sandwiches.
  8. Grandad was fed up with staying indoors all the time. So, he
  9. decided it was time to  get  out  a  bit.  On his way to the
  10. local theme park, Funland, a sales  man done a part exchange
  11. with him -  he  swapped  his  wheelchair  for  a  brand new,
  12. sparkling, 3mph tricycle. Brilliant eh? Well, anyway. He got
  13. to the theme park, paid a huge £2.50 to get in, and sat down
  14. for a while. After he'd had a  nice look around, he came out
  15. again, and sat around for a  little while in the other park,
  16. which you don't have  to  pay  for.  Just  as he realised he
  17. was getting hungry, he remembered he had left his sandwiches
  18. in Funland, and because he's a stingy old man, bless him, he
  19. doesn't want to  pay  £2.50  to  go  in  again.  In fact, he
  20. doesn't have £2.50 to go in again,  so you must help him get
  21. back into Funland, and solve  puzzles  to  help him find his
  22. sandwiches.

  24. This sequel is even better.  There  are now loads of sampled
  25. sounds like birds  singing,  toilets  flushing  and flashers
  26. flashing. Well, not quite  the  latter, but anyway.... There
  27. are also loads of new people to talk to; Quentin Shinyring -
  28. the guy in the men's toilets who's the other way inclined, a
  29. rather sadistic tourist, a  fisherman,  a tramp.... the list
  30. is endless. The graphics  are  even  better, and thankfully,
  31. the charge level which appeared  in the original Grandad has
  32. been discarded.

  34. The puzzles have become a little  harder, but this is no bad
  35. thing; there's nothing worse than  completing  a game in one
  36. day. Grandad 2 is also  Shareware,  and  to enter Funland, a
  37. protection matrix from Ian Scott is required. This costs £8,
  38. but is definitely worth it as  a  lot  of hard work has gone
  39. into the game.

  41. What about a Grandad 3 I  hear you ask? Well, unfortunately,
  42. this will never happen. Ian  Scott  has since moved onto the
  43. PC and therefore Grandad 3, if it does come out, will appear
  44. on that format. Oh well, you never know - we might release a
  45. Grandad 3 for the ST!
